ENSIGN Venturi Inserts are a proven method of protecting high value power station main condensers from common problems including inlet erosion / corrosion and tube leaks.
Compatible with condenser tube cleaning -
ENSIGN wide bore type Venturi Inserts successfully used in conjunction with
condenser tube cleaning bullets
A nuclear power station needed to protect its aluminium brass condenser tubes from inlet
erosion / corrosion whilst still allowing cleaning of the tubes with metal scraper bullets.
Wide Bore Ensign Venturi Inserts were fitted to all condenser tubes at the station. The
tubes were subsequently cleaned with metal scraper type bullets passed through each
venturi inlet. This station has been protected by Ensign Venturi Inserts since 1978 and
has never had to re-tube.
